Geodetic Earth System Sciences

Characteristics of the research focus of Physical and Satellite Geodesy mainly concentrates on the building of models for the evaluation of satellite and terrestrial geodetic measurements as well as their application in geodynamics. In particular, the chair in the field of Satellite Geodesy addresses measurement technology. The use of geodetic GPS is another research focus as well as optimising GPS observation methods for polar research. Physical Geodesy focuses mainly on issues of boundary value problem and problems in association with vertical datums.
