Alumni meeting at GIK
On November 12, six alumni of the former diploma program 'Geodesy' visited their former educational institution. First, they visited the familiar premises, which had changed considerably since the beginning of the study program in 1997. Afterwards, the instrument collection of the institute was inspected, which includes geodetic instruments from several centuries. During the rest of the afternoon, memories were exchanged and, of course, many questions were discussed, mainly concerning the current course of studies, now called 'Geodesy and Geoinformatics'. A short get-together in the equipment room of the institute with Mr. Lauer ended the meeting at KIT, which was then continued by the participants in a nearby pub. (Norbert Rösch)
